
RACHEL COLE
Rachel is delighted to be returning to the stage in La Cage Aux Folles.
After studying Performing Arts at Ed5 International in Sydney, she was immediately cast in Wicked to understudy Nessa Rose. Thereafter, she appeared in the original Australian cast of Matilda The Musical playing The Acrobat and understudying Miss Honey, Mrs Wormwood and Mrs Phelps for The Royal Shakespeare Company. She toured with Tina Arena in Evita, for Opera Australia. Thereafter, she featured in the role of Nicole in Muriel’s Wedding The Musical, understudying Rhonda for Global Creatures. Most recently, Rachel understudied the lead female in Billy Elliot for Louise Withers & Assoc. She also appeared in CHESS & Promises, Promises for The Production Company. Before it fell victim to Covid, she was due to appear in the Yiddish language adaptation, Fidler Afn Dakh for Opera Australia. Rachel’s opera credits include: La Boheme, Die Tote Stadt, The Love of the Nightingale, la Forza del Destino & The Marriage of Figaro all with Opera Australia.
For the last 7 years, Rachel has juggled a career as an Investment Analyst at Empower Wealth, with her night life in the theatre. She is also the face of and ‘finance guru’ for OneTwo Home loans and is passionate about financial literacy. She regularly presents at high schools, on podcasts and lectures for ongoing education for adults in finance across Sydney.
Rachel has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Sydney and studied Economics post graduate.
